We had a vision for our wedding and decorations that we created ourselves to add a personal touch. We just needed someone we could trust to take the decorations and lay them out on the day of. We also needed big decor items like chair covers, table runners, lighting, and pillars. We found Rose Chair Decor on Google and went with them as they are a one-stop shop which is very convenient - she has the beautiful decorations, rents them to you, sets them up for you, and tears them down - at one package price which is very handy. We didn't find one other company who offered this. As a bonus, we also gave her our decorations that we created, and she brought them to the venues on the day of.

Closer to the day, we had some unfortunate incidents with Rose. I had first met with Rose about a year prior to the wedding and everything seemed great. However, when we met with her a month before the wedding, she firstly forgot that we had a meeting scheduled as she was getting ready for another event. And when we did meet with her, I discovered she had forgotten almost everything we had previously discussed, despite the notes we had made together. I gave her a new detailed list for the ceremony and reception, but she didn't acknowledge them and kept referring to her old notes from a year ago. After meeting with her twice within the month before the wedding - both times my soon-to-be husband and I left feeling very uncomfortable and very lacking in confidence that she was going to handle everything correctly even though we had laid out all the details with her. She was the only vendor we hired that gave us this concern.

So, three weeks before the wedding, I decided to hire a day-of coordinator. Mainly I did this so the person can oversee Rose because we honestly did not have confidence that she would be able to take care of everything as we requested. It was very lucky we did, because on our wedding day, Rose FORGOT the correct time of the ceremony even though we had discussed it several times, and it was in the documents I gave her. If our coordinator hadn't called her an hour and a half before the ceremony to ask her where she was - we would have had no decorations at our ceremony which would have been terrible. She also kept texting me throughout the day instead of the coordinator which showed me that she may not quite appreciate the importance of a wedding day to a bride. We had originally arranged for her to take our decorations that we had made at the end of the night and hold them during our honeymoon, however after finally learning about the goings-on of the day, I decided to have our friends take them home because we simply did not trust her.

In all fairness, I will say that Rose's decorations were beautiful. We were happy with the results once they were executed correctly. Her chair covers, table runners, ceiling lights, flower arrangements and candles were all beautiful. And as I said, she is a very convenient one-stop shop as she rents you her decor, sets them up and tears them down at the end of the night. I'm not sure I can say it made up for all the stress it caused us so close to the day, and the fact that we had to hire another vendor to oversee a vendor that we were paying for - but they were nice.

I am very happy with Rose and her work. She did the chair covers and backdrop for our wedding last September. The crew worked very quickly and the results were beautiful, far exceeding our expectations. I highly recommend Rose Chair Decor for anyone that needs wedding decoration in the Vancouver area. =)

If I could give a 0-star rating, I would. Upon doing some research on wedding decor vendors, I chose Rose because I liked the idea that she offered everything in one package from chairs, tables, aisle runners and flowers. I also liked the idea of hiring a small company as opposed to a large corporation.

Our ceremony was intended to be small and simple (less than 20 people) and I met with Rose two months before the wedding. We discussed all the basics that I would need and I left feeling 100% confident about my decision to go with Rose's company. She stated that I would have everything I need (including white chiavari chairs, tables, table cloths, an aisle runner and some decorative lights) and that there would not be any issues. I also specifically told her that I am the type of person who gets stressed easily, so I was looking to hire someone who would take care of everything on the day of and she assured me that she was the right person for me.

In the final weeks before the wedding, I was feeling more and more anxious and stressed about everything that we had booked through Rose because she would sometimes take over a week to respond to my e-mails and only reply after I sent a follow-up.

The day before my wedding, I almost had a nervous breakdown because she called to ask me to contact the chair vendor that she had spoken with about the white chiavari chairs. Apparently, she had made him so angry that he refused to speak with her and she had told me to not mention that I was working with her. When I called the company myself, the person on the phone realized that I was Rose's client and flat out refused to rent me the chairs. At this point, I was in tears. What was supposed to be a SIMPLE 20-person backyard wedding was turning out to be incredibly stressful, all because of Rose. After I called her back, she said that she had 'another guy' that she could call, and that she would get the chairs (presumably at a higher price than she would've liked).

The morning of my wedding, she FORGOT what time she said that she would arrive to deliver the rest of the decorations and set up the aisle runner and chairs. Naturally, I was PANICKING!! She completely ruined the morning of my wedding which was supposed to be relaxing. I was frustrated, stressed, and annoyed at Rose and my sister and I had to take time away running around trying to track her down and set up the remainder of the decorations ourselves since she arrived TWO HOURS LATE, at 11:30am not 9:30am. I did not get to enjoy the morning of my wedding AT ALL, and I blame it all on Rose.

The last nail in the coffin that really annoyed me was that although she told me on the morning of the wedding (highly unprofessional), she and her team came to pick up the chairs at 10pm that evening while all our guests were still celebrating. She stated that it was because she would have to pay for an extra day if she returned the chairs the next day, but it was her fault for not being able to secure chairs at a rate that would still make her company profit.

I would NEVER recommend Rose to anyone planning a wedding, no matter how big or small. She was the biggest stress factor of my entire wedding!! It took a lot of mental energy to write this review because it has resurfaced a lot of feelings of anger, frustration and resentment towards Rose and yes, I do regret ever hiring her in the first place.

Amazing service! Rose Chair Decor transformed my reception venue from boring hall to beautiful masterpiece. I couldn’t believe how different it looked with the decor I chose. There were many colour scheme options and Rose had great advice/suggestions on how to make it perfect. The best part is that once colours and setup were confirmed all I had to do is show up! They set up and tore down all the decor so I had nothing to worry about. I would highly recommend them to anyone having a special event that they want to lol beautiful.

Now settled in newlywed life, I can finally write reviews on my amazing vendors and one of them was Rose from Rose Chair Décor! I had wedding at Swaneset in sept 2017.

Rose was detail-oriented and always available for questions. She is well-experienced in wedding decorations. I received so many compliments from my guests on how beautiful and elegant our wedding was because of the decor.

Rose tried her best to accomodate our needs and our budget. Her team decorated our chairs, headtable, backdrop, and aisle gorgeously.

She made herself available for several prep-meetings as I changed my mind on colours and fabrics few times. Yet, she listened to my wishes gladly and tried to come up with the decor plan that fulfilled my wish.

You will not regret by hiring Rose for your wedding decor.
