I had absolutely the best experience with Christy. My dress was too small around the bust and wouldn’t fit. I also had 5 weeks till my wedding. She was able to fully reconstruct the dress and make it fit perfectly as well as being able to create the dress of my dreams within 5 weeks!

Christy is nothing less than an artist. She remade my wedding dress, adding a corset back and tailored it to have the perfect length of hem and sleeves among other things. She created my dream dress and made the process fun and stress free. She explains all of the costs in detail and makes sure that the customer understands and is comfortable with every detail. Christy hemmed my wedding dress. I received professional, courteous service at all times, with reasonable pricing. Her home studio has a nice ambiance, and she treats both you and your dress with care and dignity. Christy suggested that she sew in gel bust inserts--to better support and optimize the look. Sewing is her passion! I felt like I was in very capable hands and the end product was as I had hoped for.

I was having a hard time finding a person or business I felt comfortable with altering my wedding dress since I purchased it in the USA, and it is mostly lace detail. I saw Christie's business The Parisian Lady on google and saw she had a lot of good reviews, so I decided to give her a try. She exceeded all expectations! She really made me feel comfortable in her at-home studio, and gave me different options for how she could alter my dress. She really took the time to explain to me how she was going to alter my dress without doing anything to damage it. Her knowledge and many years of experience was evident right away. The best part was the one-on-one interaction with the person who would be altering my wedding dress, and knowing exactly what would be happening. I have been meaning to write a review for some time now and am finally finding the time to do so. I have to say this lady is amazing. I was getting so frustrated with finding a dress to fit right for my daughter’s wedding. Thankfully, Christy came to the rescue and did some wonderful alterations to make me truly be happy with my dress. Her service and talent is wonderful. So much so, I ended up getting another dress altered, a favorite dress duplicated, and then purchased a couple of dresses based from her samples. Fall is here, and I think it is time to go back and get my Fall wardrobe updated. I’m so very happy to know we have such a talented professional right here in our city of Maple Ridge….. No need to go to downtown Vancouver to get the quality clothing you need!

Christy is absolutely amazing! I live in a very small town without a seamstress and got married in the Vancouver area. I had contacted many seamstresses but Christy was the only one that was able to guarantee the job with the tight one week time frame. When I tried on the dress for the first time since ordering it in her shop, we found out it was ordered much larger than it should have been. She was not only able to still finish the job in the time frame, but made it look like the dress was always the perfect size, and even added some detail around the neckline, all with a smile on her face. I can't recommend her highly enough!
