I’d been seeking a new recliner when my son, 26 month grand baby and I visited Merit. Lots of choices each tested for rocker ability by my grand baby. All of my questions were answered by Beverly with care and concern. She did up the paperwork and my chair was delivered the next morning! Impressive service with a smile. I have nothing but praise for Michael and the delivery men, of the Merritt store in Duncan, B.C.My husband has experienced some health issues that have caused some limitations. I bought a recliner to try to alleviate some of the problems, but since this is a new adjustment in his life my husband just saw the chair as a reminder of his decline and he wanted nothing to do with it. Because I purchased without doing proper measurements as I went from the hospital to the store, the chair was also too big for our space….but an absolutely beautiful chair. When I explained my predicament to Michael he was so extremely kind and helpful and fully understanding of the stress that I was going through. Also the young men who picked up the chair when the return was accommodated were also so very kind and understanding. I am very grateful for the amazing care given to me as a customer, and fellow human being. I will definitely recommend “Merritt” to anyone wanting to buy furniture and my next purchase will be from there also.

Purchased washer/dryer...coffee + 2 end tables...delivery date fell thru and l waited for half day....without acknowledgment from merit..
Long and Short got delivery next day..

Michael was very pleasant to work with. He was patient & helpful in every way, while I made up my mind about the sofa bed I purchased. Delivery went very smoothly. I will gladly refer friends & family to Merit Home furniture. Good selection, fair prices ,& great quality!

Absolutely great customer service....helped immensely in acquiring a couch and chair for a handicapped family member...needed the couch "firm" so they can push themselves out of the couch, with flat wide arm rests and higher than many. They knew exactly what I was looking for. Delivery staff were excellent.. The same for a lift chair with infrared heat. So happy with products, colours and their helpfulness. The parking is great too...will definitely go back.

We had a wonderful experience with Merit furniture in Duncan. We came over from Salt Spring to look for a sofa and loveseat to replace our old ones. Michael greeted us, gave us some guidance when we explained what we were looking for, knowledgeably answered our questions about the different brands and styles, then left us on our own to try them out.

We found a set that we thought fit our needs, and it was delivered when promised (the delivery guys were quick, efficient, careful, and took away our old loveseat so it would find a new home).

After a number of days, we realized we had made a mistake--The firmness of the furniture wasn't working for us. We called Michael and he was very understanding, and told us he would work with us to find a replacement set.

We went back over to Duncan the next day and found exactly what we needed--very similar to the one we had bought, but a slightly different style that was less firm. The best part was that this set was the same price as the original one, so we didn't incur any extra costs. We are expecting delivery of the new set, and removal of the one we are returning, next week, when the delivery folks will be on Salt Spring again.

All in all, this has been a remarkably smooth and easy experience, and we couldn't have asked for any better customer service. We felt Michael was honestly trying to help us be satisfied and happy with what we purchased. We're happy to support this local family business, and highly recommend it.

Although I found the perfect recliner-loveseat at Merit Home Furniture, it is the service I have to applaud. Wendy was accommodating and knowledgable while we were selecting in-store. Then you have Kevin and Michael who delivered. They are efficient, careful, friendly, and made sure everything was just right before leaving. Great experience from start to finish!

My husband and I recently went to Merit Home Furniture in Duncan to look at a sectional for our new home. We found Mike to be helpful and knowledgeable about the products in store. He wasn't pushy or tried to upsell the items, he just took the time to talk to us and find out what our needs were and helped us to buy the right sectional. He even helped us load the couch into our truck and strapped in place, offering advice so we could get it back home safely. I would definitely recommend this store and we will be back for other items we want to fill our home.
