Had a great time creating mugs at Maddison's studio in Cumberland and were informed that our mugs would be ready for collection in 4 weeks. After 2 months with no communication we reached out inquiring as to the status of our mugs. Apparently Maddison had moved and our pottery was not yet fired or painted. Maddison then stated that they would be able to drop off our mugs and scheduled a date to do so; however, that date has passed 5 days ago and we still don't have the mugs we purchased and Maddison has not responded to our messages. Completely unprofessional and frustrating.

My friends and I had a lovely experience creating mugs in the space in Cumberland on March 16th. We were informed that the mugs should take about 4 weeks to fire and paint. We left our names and phone numbers with the mugs and went on our marry way. After about 2 months of not hearing anything, we reached out. Maddison informed us that she had moved and had not fired our pottery yet, but she would be able to drop them off. Fast-forward, this past weekend she messaged saying she was heading out shortly (keep in mind, this is now 2.5 months later) and she will drop them off. The address was provided, but there was no response from her, nor were the mugs dropped off. It is 5 days later, and we have not heard anything from her. We have been waiting almost 2 months longer than the original deadline and still have not received any update on the timeline or our mugs. I understand that there are unforeseen circumstances that come up, but the lack of communication throughout the entire duration is unacceptable. We had to initiate the follow up request and inquire as to the whereabouts with her throughout this experience. Apparently it was not deemed important enough to inform her paying customers on the whereabouts of their purchased items.

This experience with Maddison has been completely unprofessional and easily mitigated if communication was received throughout the duration.

Just completed the 5 week workshop with Maddison at Mabel. Knowing zero about pottery when I started, I left with a basic understanding of different techniques and some really unique pieces that I made. There were only 2 other ladies in my group. Maddison keeps the groups small so she can devote so much time and attention to her “students.” We laughed, we chatted, we cheered each other on. I looked forward to this class every single week. I would absolutely recommend Mabel Ceramics to anyone wanting to learn a new skill and try out of their head. It’s truly amazing what Maddison has created!

Two friends and I attended one of Maddison's mug building workshops for a friend's birthday and it was SO FUN. Maddison is super friendly and makes you feel very welcome in her space. Such a great way to spend time with friends or for a date night - highly recommend!

My friend and I did a pottery workshop with Maddi and not only did we have a BLAST, but we learnt so much about how much love and work goes into the process of making pottery! Maddison is so lovely, professional and fun. 10/10 recommend treating yourself and signing up for ANY of her workshops and events.

My wife and I went to Mabel for a date night and it was fantastic! Maddison is an awesome (and VERY patient) teacher and made us feel so at home. Bonus, despite never having thrown before we both walked away with some awesome looking pieces. Would recommend the experience to anyone!

We took the 5 week workshop and had so much fun. We learnt about handbuilding and working on a wheel. I was pretty nervous to try pottery and Maddison (the owner and potter) made me feel so at ease. She was willing to help us create most anything that inspired us. I loved the creative freedom and her willingness to problem solve with us to create all sorts of things. We will be back for more workshops in the future.
