In spite of delays with Covid delivery glitches we are thrilled with our renovation. Our house looks like new! Besides; prep and tiling done by Sean and Dean painting done by Dean and Taylor new baseboards, railing was revamped, flooring was installed by James, Jim and Cody we also had new stone replaced our old brick by Logan and Kevin. Greg was ready and willing to replace our kitchen faucet that started to leak a few days later deserves a mention here. No interior pictures available. Steve, Lara and the trades that worked on our house were incredible. Ashley's guidance us through the stone choice was also much appreciated.

One would hope that Lacey Homes takes more pride in their work than they do in our Alberta and Canada flags on their sign directly across from Costco.
Update: Two months later and still worn out Alberta and Canada flags. Here's a suggestion. If you're too lazy or cheap to replace the flags, take them down. Show some respect!

We highly recommend Lacey Homes! The whole team is easy to work with, professional, and responsive to calls and emails. We hired them to build a custom home and were impressed by the well thought out process. They walked us through each step, making the whole project way less overwhelming. They were also great at making design and building suggestions. Lacey Homes was able to navigate our build during supply chain issues and material shortages. Their communication was totally transparent and always solution-focused, there were no surprises (in the best way). Lacey Homes even gave us a possession date at the very start of the project, which made it much easier for us to organize our move. We love our new Lacey Home! We got to lay it out exactly how we wanted it, making the best use of space, it's perfect for our family.

It was early July 2021 and the decision had been made to retire to Medicine Hat and move there from Ontario, at this point the big question was to buy or to build. So taking the bull by the horns 3 builders in Medicine Hat were contacted. The first 2 contacted went to voice mail, and the third builder picked up on the second ring- a very encouraging start. To cut a longer story short over the next 2 weeks with around 10 or so phone conversations and 3 face time meetings the home of our dreams was in a contract signed position and the adventure was on.
Lacey Homes in a very short period of time and almost 3,000 kilometers between us had listened, encouraged, co-operated, and worked in total collaboration with us to formulate a plan for our dream home. Admittedly there were changes to the initial design but to be honest the largest of which was changing a normal hinged door to a pocket door. So from a design perspective Lacey Homes had hit the nail on the head.
The build started in October with a planned finish date for mid-July, throughout the build process there were updates meetings and an on line project management application that allowed us to see the progress. We were encouraged to be part of the process and when questions of clarity were required we were totally involved.
We physically met with the Lacey Homes team in November 2021 to sit down for 3 days to decide on all finishing facets of the home, we were greeted with a family feel which since then I have found to be one of the strongest assets of Lacey Homes.
Our Dream home was delivered to us on time and in excess of all of our quality expectations. At time of writing this review we have been in our dream home for a month to the day and at times are still speechless. We have found that all the trades involved with the build are more than willing to bend over backwards to assist us whenever we have asked, and I understand why now as they are part of the Lacey Homes Family too.
It was exactly 12 months from that first phone call to the completed “Teanty” (The naming is another story)
We are so amazed at the whole experience and are thankful that we are now part of the Lacey Homes Family.

We built or first and forever home with Lacey. We were nervous initially, it’s a huge investment. Wow did Lacey do a fantastic job making the process so easy. Steve and the team are fantastic. They were incredibly responsive to our needs and any changes. The initial build quality before upgrades was already awesome, we loved the entire process.we actually got in our house early, on budget, and exactly what we wanted, with extras and care thrown in along the way. I won’t build with anyone else.

I contacted Lacey Homes after a major sewage backup in my basement. I knew they built beautiful homes after viewing one of their Parade of Homes builds, but I wasn’t sure if they did renovation/insurance claims, or strictly focused on building new. After a quick call, I had my answer. They were at my home, ready to take measurements and supplied me with a quote I could submit to insurance. I’ve never had to make a home insurance claim, and they walked me through the process, going above and beyond what I think a typical builder or renovation company would have done. These guys are fantastic. The entire team made me, and my home feel like a priority. Insurance claims are stressful, but with the professionalism, communication and skilled trades folk they sent over to my home, it made this claim stress free. I Can’t thank you guys enough!

Live in a house built by them mid 2000's, if there was a way to cut back on stuff and hide it, they did it. I have found so many items that were just shortchanged to save a few bucks. I have no idea how some of the things passed inspection. But just leave it for homeowners decades down the road to fix things not done right in the first place, all for the sake of profit. Are they better now, no idea. But Im living it now.
