I think this is a great store , many different things to browse for your home. I picked up some modern lighting for ceiling mounts. Very pleased with my purchase. Decent sized area to make a selection. Knowledgeable staff , pleased to give you thier time. A great bonus

I find the prices to be super good, especially when compared to the other second hand stores in the duncan area. For example I was looking for a specialty hammer, and it was 1$ at habitat and 5$ at a different second hand store down the street. They also have the best prices in town for vintage hand saws when they have them in stock.

After losing absolutely everything in a fire in Duncan..
I was not given anything off they're asking retail price although they get everything by free donations..
Even though I am a senior I didn't even get the 15% off they allow us my mention was disregarded

While I was unable to purchase any caulking this time, that's what I went there to buy I did manage to purchase a Brad nailer in the case with the owners manual for a bargain price of $10.00 so I was quite happy especially considering this tool will save me both a great deal of time and money in the next few months as I have a series of projects that can easily benefit from having such a tool. I've ordered some air tool oil and two sizes of Brad nails that will be picked up on Friday afternoon or evening.

I contacted the DUNCAN ReStore a month ago. The person who answered my call gave me all the info I needed to donate a locker-full of goods (value at resale over $1500- $3000).... three weeks later when I called to arrange for pickup, the manager gave me totally different information.

As a result I have decided not to donate to ReStore, now or in the future. I believe in their mission and in fact I volunteered with them many years ago when they first came to Canada.

Learn from my lesson . Don't count on getting the same story from two different staff members . This is not they way a charitable organization should be run. They should look at every donation as a 'windfall' and should make every attempt to meet the needs of the donor ... not just their needs....

This review is simply in response to Jennifer Hills review below. I say get over yourself. So you're mad because the manager- who would be the right person to speak with- said they dont want your junk? And you think every donation is a "windfall"? Did you stop to consider that A- they wont or cant sell your stuff there, or B- that by taking it and then not selling it creates a cost to them to dispose of it?
"...and should make every attempt to meet the needs of the donor...". Ummmm no. If they cant sell it why should they be obligated to take it. You dump your problem on them and it becomes their problem. And then you go say that thats not how a place should be run. I have an idea for you. If you think you can do better why dont you go volunteer art the store? Your sense of entitlement is disgusting...
