We have been to many cabins and this is definitely in our top five. |The cabin was very clean with amazing touches throughout. The cabin has everything you need for your stay and is quite spacious. The deck is super nice with a picnic table and several other seating options. |Greendale is right on the river and there are several different access points that you can walk down to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. |Ally and Stephen were great hosts and stopped by when we checked in to ensure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed our visit so much that we have booked again for October. |We would highly recommend staying here

Imagine being a touring musician from Nashville and getting booked into the lovely and relaxing Greendale cabins after a harrowing day of lost luggage and flight delays. Yes, it happend to our headline act in 2024. There were smiles all around when they walked in the door. The Cowichan Valley Bluegrass Festival has used Greendale since 2019 and we are thrilled to provide our artists with such great digs. Ally and Stephen are wonderful hosts. The grounds are lovely.

This place is such a hidden gem. The property is like something out of a fairytale and the cabins are beautifully nestled in nature alongside the river. Each cabin is super private whilst also having gorgeous river front views. We literally watched herons fly by and fish for their lunch just meters away. There are whimsical walking trails and lovely beach areas with swimming spots all along the water. The cabin we stayed in (the blue heron) was so cozy, rustic, and unique. They take you back in time while also providing the modern everyday amenities that most of us need (the internet was excellent!). The beds were so comfortable our entire group had an amazing sleep. We were lucky enough to get to peek inside a few of the other cabins and each was unique and so fun to explore. This place would be perfect for family trips as well as getaways with friends. Excellent customer service. Its a five star from our group all around. We cant wait to go back!!

Greendale is our absolute favourite place in which to relax and enjoy nature. The charming cottages are cosy and comfortable, very clean, and well equipped. The grounds are beautiful and serene, and the location on the Cowichan River is unbeatable. A small path runs beside Stanley Creek, through a carpet of wildflowers in the spring, and you may be fortunate enough to see a bear or a Roosevelt Elk, as we have. Certainly, you will see and hear many varieties of songbirds. Greendale is a little oasis - an idyllic spot that we have enjoyed for many years.

We use Greendale to house bands for our music festival and they love it. Providing touring musicians in homey accommodations in a beautiful, serene setting gives them welcome respite from the rigours of the road. We are lucky to have Greendale just five minutes away from our festival site. Check them out if you are visiting the area, or for a nice getaway. - Cowichan Valley Bluegrass Festival

Our favourite place by the river! Cabins are clean, well maintained & cozy. We rent them every year & love coming back to relax & enjoy the River. The new couple managing them are friendly & helpful. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

A beautiful place! We all felt like we stepped back in time. It was such a great experience. All the finishing touches, right down to the books on the book shelf. We enjoyed every bit. The views, river, open green space, the antiques. It's definitely one we will come back to time and again. It was relaxing. The next time we will bring floaties to float down the river. Was really impressed at how clean the cabin was, and all that it offered. What a serene and beautiful place!!

The setting is idyllic, right on the riverbank but well sloped with good drainage around the cabins which are nicely maintained.|The grounds are immaculate, with beautiful landscaping, large garden, tall forest trees, lush lawns, and a tidy chicken coop with real chickens to take care of your food scraps 🙂 The cabin itself is warm, and heats quickly for a fall/winter get away. The kitchen is basic but has adequate dishware, pots, and utensils. The gas stove is awesome for cooking. The only thing we didn’t like about the cabin was the small, rustic shower in the bathroom. Other than the shower, the cabin was in excellent condition. The parking is a little bit removed from the cabin but the managers provide a wheel barrow for any bulky luggage or gear. The walk way to the cabin is only partial (with stepping stones) so it was necessary to cross the dark, wet lawn to arrive at the door. The location is outstanding with towns, parks, outdoor recreation, and wildlife very accessible. |
